How to Implement Subscription Management

With Novalnet’s Subscription Management, you can easily automate recurring payments, renewals, and cancellations — all from one platform. Whether you manage memberships, digital services, or recurring product deliveries, Novalnet’s system ensures that each cycle is processed securely, reliably, and in full compliance with SEPA and card mandates.

Step 1: Configure Subscription Plans

  • Log in to the Novalnet Merchant Portal.
  • Go to Subscription Management → Predefined Subscriptions.
  • Create or edit a subscription plan by setting the billing interval, amount, trial period, and duration.
  • Assign the subscription plan to the desired payment method (e.g., SEPA, card, PayPal).
  • Save your settings and verify that the plan is active for use in your integration.

Step 2: Automate and Test Recurring Payments

  • To create subscriptions programmatically, use the Subscription API within your payment request — include parameters such as subscription.tariff_id, subscription.interval, and subscription.period.
  • Customers are automatically charged based on the plan setup. Cancellations, pauses, and renewals can be managed through the Merchant Portal or API.
  • Use the Testing Guide to simulate subscription creation, renewal, and cancellation flows.
  • Monitor all active subscriptions, transactions, and logs in the Subscription Management Dashboard.
